There is a fast moving mobilization on www.youtube.com against extended warranty calls that people neither asked for nor really need. The fact is that most of these calls are outsourced by warranty service providers, but somewhere on their side of the court, someone is doing something wrong and leaking out all the information or using them the wrong way. Of course they will deny that it’s their fault, but since most of the scammers are using their name to make these extended warranty calls, they should try to do something about them. And now they are being forced to and all because of file-sharing and video uploading which goes to show that this site is a very powerful application, especially for the little people who have nowhere else to turn to. There are of course formal legal avenues, which can get expensive. There is also the (not so simple) way of just asking them to take you off the call list.
