I wanted to become a professional runner. Running requires a lot of physical work. But more than physical strength, it tests your mental strength. The first 10 kilometers you may run by using physical strength but to keep running even after that is only possible if your will to continue comes into play. I was able to handle the physical exertion but I was not able to channelize my mental power in the right direction. My coach took a lot of effort on me. He told me that unless I learn to focus I will not be able to run in a competition and chances of winning would be even lesser. I tried yoga, karate, anything to help me increase my concentration but I failed. I knew I had to find out the reason why I was lacking in this aspect. I did a lot of soul searching but to no avail. My coach once told me about the Landmark forum. He said that it would help me in knowing myself better. I checked them on the net at http://www.rlang.com/. I decided to give it a try as there was no harm in that. This program and its teachings did wonders for my attitude. I realized I was not having faith in myself. I needed to believe that I could be the fastest and the best runner this world ever saw. I needed to free myself from negativity. Once I learned to do that, there was no looking back. I have since then won many major tournaments and am now trying to be a part of the Olympics.
